1. Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to the Spool iOS application, Spool Keyboard Extension, and Spool Share Extension (collectively, "Spool" or "the App"). We respect your privacy and are committed to ensuring you retain complete ownership and control over your written words.

2. Data Collection and Processing

Spool operates entirely offline on your local iOS device:

• No Remote Transmission: Spool does not send your text, clipboard data, drafts, or queues over the Internet. The App does not contain network request code to any backend servers.
• No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, device identifiers, or social media credentials.
• No Analytics or Tracking SDKs: There are no third-party tracking, advertising, behavioral analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs embedded in the application.

3. Keyboard Extension & "Allow Full Access"

When adding a custom keyboard in iOS, Apple displays a prompt regarding "Allow Full Access". Here is what that means for Spool:

• Why it is requested: Under iOS architecture, a keyboard extension needs Full Access to read your system clipboard directly when you tap "Paste & Split", and to synchronize your active queue with the main App container via an isolated shared App Group (group.com.lujinping.Spool).
• What we do NOT do: Spool never logs your general typing, never records passwords, credit cards, or private messages, and never transmits any keystroke information. The keyboard only operates on text you explicitly queue or paste.
• Optional: If you choose not to grant Full Access, you can still manage drafts and queues inside the main Spool application or Share Extension.

4. Local Storage & App Groups

Any text segments, drafts, or user preferences you configure are stored strictly within the secure local sandbox storage and shared App Group container on your iPhone or iPad. This local data is governed by iOS's built-in sandbox security model and is inaccessible to other third-party apps.

5. Share Extension

When you use the Spool Share Extension to split text from Safari, Notes, or other apps, the selected text is passed directly into the local App Group container. No data leaves your device at any point in the sharing pipeline.

6. Your Data Rights & Deletion

You have full autonomy over your data:

• Immediate Clearance: You can clear queued segments directly inside the keyboard or delete drafts inside the main App at any time.
• Complete Deletion: Removing the Spool app from your device automatically purges all locally stored data, preferences, and queues managed by Spool.

7. Children's Privacy

Because Spool does not collect or transmit any personal information, it is safe for users of all ages, including children under 13.

8. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product enhancements or regulatory changes. Any updates will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
